New leadership at CirrusHQ: Matt Smith appointed as Head of Sales

CirrusHQ appoints Matt Smith as Head of Sales to support its cloud partnerships and organisational resilience initiatives.

CirrusHQ, an AWS cloud specialist, has announced the appointment of Matt Smith as its new Head of Sales. In this role, Smith will report to Chief Revenue Officer Stephen Croke and will focus on developing and strengthening relationships with organisations across the UK that are looking to use cloud services.

Smith joins CirrusHQ from IGEL, a secure endpoint operating system company, where he was regional sales director. He has also held senior sales roles at CrowdStrike, Citrix, and Computacenter.

In his new role, Smith will work with organisations navigating challenges such as macroeconomic pressures and evolving cyber threats within a changing technology landscape. His focus will include supporting customers through transformational change and working with them to explore how cloud technologies can be applied to support business outcomes.

The appointment follows a year in which CirrusHQ strengthened its AWS credentials, achieving recognition through the AWS Managed Services Provider Program and AWS Small and Medium Business Competency. The company was also included in Megabuyte’s top 50 scale-ups and shortlisted in the IT Consulting category.

Smith’s appointment forms part of CirrusHQ’s ongoing leadership development and its work with organisations exploring how cloud services can be used to support security, operations, and innovation.
