Zayo continues to expand its connectivity to the cloud with AWS in London

International Bandwidth Infrastructure services provider Zayo Group Holdings Inc. continues to expand its direct cloud access services with the addition of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Direct Connect to its Quick Connect portfolio in London.

Quick Connect, Zayo’s newest Tranzact feature, allows customers to connect to the AWS cloud over secure, private, high-performance connections. The feature is available now to all existing Ethernet and IPVPN customers, and provides connectivity through Zayo’s London AWS Direct Connect site, and U.S. sites located in New York City, Los Angeles, San Jose, Seattle, and Ashburn, Va. Using this private dedicated network, customers can access the AWS cloud platform and benefit from a secure, high performance solution for their data as well as have the service delivered in industry leading times.

To order this direct connection customers can use Tranzact, Zayo’s bandwidth shopping platform. To utilize the Quick Connect option, existing customers login and confirm the AWS location to connect and select the desired bandwidth. Zayo’s team will then enable the customer to reach AWS.

“Building on the existing relationship and therefore facilitating easier and quicker access to AWS for Zayo customers is important to help enable secure Cloud solutions” said John Real, vice-president of Strategic Channels who is presenting at Cloud Expo Europe in London. “Zayo will continue to maximise the advantages of the Cloud for its customers which includes providing big bandwidth and secure, reliable fibre connectivity for their strategic Cloud requirements.”

Zayo is an Amazon Partner Network (APN) Technology Partner and has offered direct connect to AWS since 2011. Direct connectivity improves user experience when connecting to the cloud by providing customers consistent, secure, and reliable bandwidth over a private network.
