Cloud28+ launches Enterprise Cloud Catalogue with 680 services

Enterprise customers across EMEA can now accelerate to hybrid IT via central cloud service catalogue.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has launched the Cloud28+ cloud service catalogue. The catalogue enables European enterprises to easily search for cloud services to meet their specific business requirements. Cloud28+ customers can also sort for a specific data center location and provider by which a cloud service is operated, thus ensuring compliance with local laws and business requirements. Cloud 28+ is a community of commercial and public sector organizations aimed at expanding cloud service adoption across the European region.

A centralized enterprise app store, the Cloud28+ catalogue already features 680 cloud services from 150 Cloud28+ members across Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service and Software-as-a-Service offerings. To date, more than 1000 end user organizations have pre-registered to use the catalogue.

The new Cloud28+ catalogue provides a broad range of benefits for European customers:
§  An easy and transparent access to huge number of enterprise cloud services, enabling customers to compare offerings based on functional and non-functional criteria, including price, service level agreements and certification levels.
§  Ability to discover cloud-native ISVs with whom they can partner to embrace the Idea Economy.
§  Expansion of their go-to-market capabilities by publishing their own services in the catalogue, thus turning their IT teams into revenue-generating engines.

“We created Zettabox to help European companies build sustainable futures in the cloud by ensuring compliance with increasingly strict data protections laws in the EU,” says James Kinsella, Zettabox founder. “Cloud28+ was a logical community for Zettabox to join, as its mission is to build a cohesive and collaborative cloud environment, for Europeans by Europeans. We are proud to be a part of this thriving and growing pan-European community.”

The Cloud28+ technology framework is based on HPE Helion OpenStack, ensuring portability of cloud services and eliminating vendor lock-in for the end customer.

“The launch of the Cloud28+ catalogue is an important milestone on the journey to a European Digital Single Market,” says Xavier Poisson, Hybrid IT vice president for Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Cloud services are fundamental for the growth of the digital economy, and now customers across the EU’s 28 member states and beyond have a single source of hundreds of cloud services that enable them to transform to a hybrid infrastructure.”

Cloud28+ catalogue services currently include a wide variety of data management, end-user productivity, business app, digital marketing, software development, and security offerings, amongst many others. Additional categories and vertical solutions will be added in the coming months.
