The Perstorp Group selects PROS Big Data applications

The Perstorp Group has selected PROS big data applications to enhance its customer experience and sales effectiveness initiatives. The transaction closed in the second quarter of 2014.

Founded in 1881 and headquartered in Malmo, Sweden, Perstorp is a world leader in specialty chemicals. With approximately 1,500 employees in 22 countries, and production sites in eight countries across Europe, Asia and North America, the company provides its customers with more than 130 years of winning formulas.
Perstorp products enable key materials in a range of everyday products, from shatterproof windshields and finishes on leather, to additives for grains and scratch-resistant coatings for plastics in electronics.

“As we continue to grow, we’re transforming our business so we’re able to respond to our customers with greater speed and accuracy,” said Perstorp Executive Vice President, Regions and Group Management, Mikael Gedin. “PROS depth of experience in our industry was evident from the start. They proactively engaged with our team to understand our business and recommend prescriptive solutions for our success. We’ll be able to address our customers’ needs with better, faster and more informed business insights.”

“We have seen how our big data technologies can enable businesses worldwide to improve customer experience,” said PROS EMEA General Manager Sebastian Mamro. “We appreciate the trust Perstorp places in PROS, and look forward to delivering insights that will help them outperform in their markets and drive operational excellence.”
