Wipro establishes Applied AI Center of Excellence for Claude models

Wipro enhances enterprise AI capabilities by launching an Applied AI CoE for Claude models, aimed at accelerating AI adoption across industries.

Wipro Limited, an AI-focused technology services and consulting company, has launched its Applied AI Center of Excellence (CoE) for Claude models, powered by Anthropic. The initiative was unveiled at the company's Bengaluru innovation hub under the AI-Native Business & Platforms Unit.

The establishment of the CoE is intended to support Wipro's AI adoption efforts by integrating Claude models within the Wipro Intelligence stack. This integration spans delivery, functional, and industry platforms, embedding AI capabilities into business workflows across multiple industries.

Wipro is also developing a global talent pool of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) trained in Claude models. These engineers are trained to understand model behaviour alongside business processes and technology environments, with the objective of supporting AI integration across enterprise operations.

The CoE also serves as a centre for developing AI-native platforms and industry-specific solutions, with a focus on the mortgage, healthcare, airlines, manufacturing, and consumer sectors. Wipro is integrating Claude models into its platforms to support collaboration with clients in operational environments and to expand AI capabilities within its Finance, HR, and Sales functions.

As part of the initiative, Wipro plans to certify 10,000 Front-Line Delivery Experts in the use of Claude models over the next 18 months. The programme is intended to develop practitioners with skills in designing, deploying, and operating AI-enhanced systems in enterprise environments.

The launch of the Applied AI Center of Excellence is part of Wipro's broader strategy to become an AI-native enterprise. The initiative combines platform integration, Claude model expertise, and embedded delivery to support AI adoption across client engagements and internal business functions.
