GNM, which operates international backbone networks and Internet Exchange services, has established its first North American Points of Presence (PoPs). These PoPs are located at Equinix MI1 in Miami and Equinix DC1–DC15, DC21 in Ashburn.

This expansion represents GNM’s entry into the United States and extends the company’s existing European backbone network across the Atlantic. The platform enables the exchange of network traffic between regions, supporting routing efficiency and international network growth.

The Miami PoP, located at Equinix MI1, is positioned at a major subsea cable connectivity hub linking North America, Latin America, and Europe. The Ashburn PoP, located within Equinix’s Northern Virginia campus - with access to carriers, cloud platforms, content providers, and enterprises.

GNM’s North American PoPs are directly connected to its Internet Exchange platform, GNM-IX, which has more than 700 connected networks and supports peak traffic levels of over 10.95 Tbps.

The North American expansion enables network providers, carriers, cloud operators, and content networks to exchange traffic between continents more efficiently. It also allows North American networks to access European traffic without deploying their own infrastructure across the Atlantic.

At the same time, European operators gain direct connectivity to two major U.S. interconnection hubs.

With more than 90 Points of Presence and over 700 connected networks, GNM continues to expand its global platform to support growing internet traffic demands and broader international connectivity.
