Semperis announced the appointment of John Podboy as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Podboy has more than 15 years of experience in cybersecurity, technology management, digital transformation, and risk management, which will contribute to Semperis’ work in these areas.
He has led security programmes for federal agencies and organisations across sectors including retail, manufacturing, industrial, technology, media, and financial services. His experience includes roles at Fifth Third Bank, First Citizens Bank, Thomson Reuters, and GE Digital, where his work focused on protecting systems and supporting business operations.
At Semperis, he will apply his experience in cybersecurity within the context of evolving threats, including those involving AI and identity-based risks. His background includes developing and implementing security initiatives in large enterprises, including Fortune 100 organisations, with an emphasis on aligning security measures with operational requirements.
Semperis focuses on identity-first security for hybrid environments, including identity lifecycle protection, incident response, crisis management, and recovery after cyber incidents.
With this appointment, Semperis continues its focus on identity security and cyber resilience for enterprise and government customers, including capabilities in identity-related forensics and incident response.
