Flare launches Foretrace for employee identity protection

Flare introduces Foretrace, providing employees with tools to help monitor and address personal identity risks within the enterprise environment.

In a context where personal and corporate identities are increasingly interconnected, Flare has introduced Foretrace, a business-to-business-to-employee (B2B2E) product. Foretrace provides individuals with tools to help protect their digital identities.

With the growth of infostealer malware and the expansion of hybrid work environments, risks to both personal and corporate identities have increased. Nearly half of stealer logs contain corporate account details, highlighting the importance of identity protection measures.

Historically, the responsibility for securing corporate credentials has largely been handled by security teams. With Foretrace, Flare extends this responsibility more broadly across organisations, involving employees in identifying and addressing threats. This approach aims to support overall risk management and contribute to a security-focused organisational culture.

Foretrace is supported by Flare’s identity intelligence infrastructure, which includes 100 million stealer logs and monitoring of more than 57,000 Telegram channels. This infrastructure is designed to provide exposure data that reflects the sources and methods used in cyberattacks, offering visibility into potential risks.

The B2B2E model enables organisations to provide Foretrace to employees as a service. The setup is designed to maintain personal privacy by giving employees access to a private identity profile that is not visible to their employer, supporting trust and encouraging use.

By combining personal identity monitoring with enterprise-level threat intelligence, organisations can reduce potential attack surfaces and support their broader security efforts. This approach allows employees to play an active role in helping to identify and respond to digital threats.
