StorMagic, a company focused on on-site virtualisation, has announced the appointment of Scott Mann as Global Senior Vice President (SVP) of Sales. The appointment aligns with the company’s stated objective of accelerating global revenue growth.
In his role, Mann will be responsible for scaling StorMagic’s channel-first go-to-market strategy and supporting customer adoption across edge computing markets. The company states that his appointment supports its plans to operate at greater scale and address demand for on-site virtualisation solutions at the edge.
Commenting on the appointment, Susan Odle, CEO of StorMagic, said Mann brings experience in leading international sales and channel teams, as well as in developing partner ecosystems. She also noted that the company intends to work with Mann to expand its reach in supporting partners and their customers with VMware migration and hardware cost considerations.
Mann has more than 15 years’ sales leadership experience in the IT technology sector, with a background in security, virtualisation, edge computing and hyperconverged infrastructure. His previous roles include positions at Scale Computing and WinMagic. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada.
In a statement, Mann said he looks forward to working with partners and supporting the company’s efforts to strengthen partner relationships, expand internationally and assist customers in implementing its virtualisation solutions.
