Park Place Technologies has revealed an update to its Entuity Software infrastructure monitoring solution. The release of version 23.0 introduces features designed to help businesses optimise IT operations.

The latest iteration of Entuity Software enhances its capabilities in areas such as agent architecture, agent-local OS polling, streaming telemetry, and updated configuration management.

Entuity's new agent architecture aims to offer improved platform delivery with lightweight, remote polling agents. These can be deployed to remote sites, end-customer offices, and home offices, broadening the platform's reach while ensuring scalable and secure maintenance from a centralised interface.

Intended key features of V23.0:

  • Remote Polling Agents: Extends monitoring capabilities to remote and SOHO (small office/home office) locations, safeguarding insight and control over servers and storage.
  • Centralised Management: Entuity Agents are managed centrally via web-based dashboards, allowing users to monitor applications and implement changes.

The update seeks to bring improvements to configuration management, allowing users to set scheduled task parameters for streamlined performance. Local Agent Monitoring aims to increase security through enhanced monitoring within segregated networks by avoiding the necessity to store server credentials.

With streaming telemetry, Entuity Software now incorporates the Telegraf agent from InfluxData, facilitating monitoring for an array of systems. This feature accommodates real-time, detailed telemetry data feeds from Cisco and other providers, integrated within its web interface.

Broader device support ensures comprehensive monitoring of servers, storage, and network devices, meeting contemporary infrastructure needs.

David Cramer, President of Solutions Delivery at Park Place Technologies, noted the software’s empowerment of organisations to confront modern infrastructure monitoring challenges effectively.

Current Entuity customers can upgrade to V23.0 without incurring additional costs, while new users can directly access the latest release.

Entuity Software aims to build on past developments by delivering enhanced management capabilities, optimised performance, and security, appealing especially to organisations dealing with complex infrastructures.
