Snowflake's EMEA expansion and AI adoption

Snowflake appoints Dayne Turbitt to lead EMEA operations and outlines regional expansion milestones with its AI Data Cloud.

Snowflake has strengthened its EMEA strategy with the appointment of Dayne Turbitt as Senior Vice President for the region. This role involves leading the company’s operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with a focus on supporting AI adoption and expanding Snowflake’s presence in the region.

Dayne previously served as Managing Director for EMEA at Anaplan and brings over 25 years of experience in enterprise technology. His experience is expected to support Snowflake’s ongoing integration of AI capabilities into business operations across its EMEA customer base.

Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud, including Cortex AI and Snowflake Intelligence, is used by over 7,300 global accounts weekly, forming part of their enterprise data strategies.

Applications of Snowflake’s platform are evident in its work with organisations such as Bupa and Siemens. Bupa has used the platform to streamline data ingestion and support analytics across clinical and customer operations. Siemens has leveraged Snowflake to build an open data mesh platform, supporting data consolidation and improving operational efficiency.

In FY26, Snowflake has introduced Snowflake Intelligence, an enterprise AI agent, and expanded partnerships with SAP, Google Cloud, and Anthropic to support AI-driven data solutions.

In EMEA, revenue for the nine months ending 31 October 2025 reached $553m, and the workforce grew to nearly 2,000 employees. Snowflake also expanded services to the AWS Africa (Cape Town) region and Microsoft Azure Central Sweden region and joined the AWS European Sovereign Cloud as a launch partner, supporting data sovereignty and regional scalability.

Through these leadership, AI, and expansion initiatives, Snowflake continues to develop its capabilities across EMEA and globally while supporting enterprises in managing and using data effectively.
