Sage, a foremost entity in accounting, financial, HR, and payroll technology for SMBs, has been recognised as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide AI-Enabled PSA and ERP Applications 2025–2026 Vendor Assessment.

In today's fast-paced world, the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to gain momentum across financial and operational sectors. With a growing emphasis on efficiency, organisations increasingly seek AI solutions to streamline processes and enhance accuracy.

Research conducted by Sage indicates that tasks such as bank reconciliation and gleaning financial insights remain time-intensive for numerous small-to-midsized businesses (SMBs), with 24% of workflow activities still undertaken manually. This drives a rise in demand for AI tools that can minimise administrative tasks while facilitating faster, more informed decision-making.

These insights emphasise the rising need for integrated systems that combine Professional Services Automation (PSA) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) with AI capabilities. The objective is to bolster both project execution and financial management through increased efficiency.

The IDC MarketScape Recognition praises Sage Intacct’s AI strategy, noting its seamless integration of PSA and ERP functionalities. According to the assessment, Sage's innovative approach offers comprehensive features including intelligent time and anomaly detection in general ledger processes, alongside optional project intelligence for proactive portfolio health and margin analytics.

Group VP of Enterprise Software at IDC, Mickey North Rizza, states, "AI-enabled PSA and ERP systems are becoming essential as organisations look to eliminate manual processes and improve how they deliver projects and manage finances."

Continuing its trajectory of AI innovation, Sage enhances its capabilities via a burgeoning network of agents poised to automate routine tasks in finance and operations. Agents supporting close management, accounts payable, and assurance are among the advancements, with the Finance Intelligence Agent newly introduced to expedite insights and boost decision-making confidence.

Collectively, these advanced agent capabilities reinforce Sage Intacct's commitment to sustaining high-performance finance teams by minimising administrative burdens and improving precision.
