Nokia's core networks portfolio secures top spot in Omdia report

Nokia is hailed as the leading core network vendor in Omdia's 2025 report, excelling in cloud-native readiness and core service solutions.

Nokia has ascended to the pinnacle of Omdia's "Market Landscape: Core Vendors - 2025" report, being acknowledged as the most competitive core networks portfolio. This accolade comes as a result of Nokia's superior performance across various domains, marking its pre-eminence among 11 prominent core vendors.

Distinguished by strong accolades in cloud-native readiness, automation, and core as a service, Nokia's forefront position in the market is underscored. The recognition primarily stems from its remarkable success in securing 5G Standalone core deals with communication service providers (CSPs) and its expansive core portfolio reach.

Further establishing itself as a market leader, Nokia announced recent associations with Ooredoo Qatar and Telefónica Spain. By Q2 2025, the company's formidable 5G Standalone core presence was evidenced by a partnership with 125 CSP customers, amongst which 54 have already launched live services.

Omdia's recognition affirms the efficacy of Nokia's multi-cloud strategy, bolstering their core network solutions marked by a commitment to innovation and capacity expansion. With momentum growing in areas like packet core, IMS voice, and subscriber data management, Nokia anticipates further growth in security, automation, and additional facets of network enhancements.

Uniquely positioning itself, the Nokia Core Networks portfolio enables operators to proficiently manage their 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G infrastructures, thanks to its fully cloud-native framework. This seamless integration covers all facets of network operation, from cloud packet core to analytics and charging, ensuring unparalleled service delivery and operational efficiency.

The Nokia Core Networks offering is revolutionising how new services are introduced, facilitating rapid deployment in multi-cloud, highly automated environments. By allowing customers to centralise their cores on a singular cloud platform, Nokia eradicates the complexities and costs associated with fragmented cloud systems, promising streamlined operations and unmatched reliability.
