Introducing DENALI: AFL's next-gen optical fiber platform for AI workloads

AFL launches the DENALI platform, transforming data centers with modular design for AI environments.

AFL, a leader in fiber optic cable manufacturing, has unveiled its latest innovation: DENALI, a modular optical fiber platform. Designed for high-growth GPU environments, DENALI facilitates advanced AI workloads with minimal infrastructure upgrades.

The DENALI platform stands out with its modular design, allowing it to grow alongside expanding networks. It boasts advanced rack-mount hardware, cassettes, and customizable assemblies. This setup offers up to 288 LC duplex ports (576 fibers) in 4RU of rack space, supporting speeds ranging from 10GB to 800GB and beyond.

"The market is undergoing a major shift, where AI-driven densification is transforming how data centers approach fiber deployment," said Marc Bolick, President of Product Solutions at AFL. “The DENALI platform was developed in response to this shift of handling faster scaling, reduced downtime and solid reliability that AI workloads actually need."

The comprehensive platform accelerates AI cluster expansions, ensuring faster time-to-market, project adherence, and an enhanced return on investment with robust infrastructure builds.

  • Simplified Deployment Process: DENALI's design lowers the number of components needed for installation, simplifying inventory management and minimizing potential failure points.
  • Intelligent System Integration: Ensures seamless integration with existing infrastructure to reduce disruptions during upgrades and expansions.
  • Enhanced Fiber Management: Streamlined cable management solutions minimize maintenance needs and bolster long-term network reliability.

The DENALI platform is now open for global deployment, marking a pivotal moment for data centers adjusting to the rising complexity and volume of AI and hyperscale workloads.
