Westcon to distribute Netskope Platform

Westcon, the global technology distributor, has signed a distribution agreement with the Magic Quadrant leader in cloud security, Netskope. The agreement will see Westcon distribute Netskope’s extensible, cloud-native platform across the Benelux, DACH and Nordic regions.

This agreement allows Westcon to further strengthen its Next Generation Solutions (NGS) offering in Cloud and Data Security by adding a pure play cloud security vendor and offering adapted security to customers that are making the transition into the cloud.

The recently created NGS unit provides Westcon’s Cybersecurity business with expert leadership and dedicated resources that enhance its existing technical focus and allow it to take advantage of the significant new opportunities offered by ‘born-in-the-cloud’ vendors and partners.

Commenting on the new agreement, Daniel Hurel, Vice President Westcon EMEA, Cyber Security & Next Gen Solutions, said: “This agreement with Netskope is an early indicator that our investment in Next Generation Solutions is being paid off already. Westcon takes a dedicated approach in its focus areas and as a company, we refuse to rest on our laurels. We’re always looking for ways in which we can improve.

“Our agreement with Netskope is an example of this, and we’re looking forward to working alongside a leader in cloud security, knowing that we can help our partners further improve their security when moving into the cloud.”

Andre Stewart, MD VP EMEA, Netskope:  “We decided to work with Westcon because they were ready to address many of the needs the rest of the channel were currently not providing. Westcon has built an aggressive lead generation programme and also a renewal team, which will help secure Netskope’s recurring revenues and assist our sales strategy. In addition, as we grow we found that a big partner like Westcon has the financing power to better serve the big Service Providers, and also has the financing capacity to offer Cloud Security as a service, which is becoming increasingly sought after by end users.

“Working with Westcon will accelerate our growth in the Benelux, Germany and the Nordics at a time where we are seeing our competition falling behind with their technical offering and lacking in their support of channel partners; Westcon can help us exploit this opportunity as they are committed to helping businesses moving to the cloud.”
