Tieto and Haninge municipality continue co-operation

Following a public procurement, Tieto has signed a new agreement with Haninge municipality for the delivery of comprehensive IT services as part of the municipality's continued digitalization journey. The three-year contract is worth approximately SEK 18 million, with an option to extend it with additional three years.

The agreement includes application management, server capacity, cloud services and system operation, as well as consulting services for further development. It also gives the municipality increased access to cost-effective services within Tieto's platforms.

"Haninge municipality needs modern IT solutions to ensure that we can deliver digital services which meet the growing demands from citizens and businesses. With this agreement, we take another step in the right direction to best support our residents while reducing the total cost of all IT," says Magnus Str?mberg, CIO at Haninge municipality.

Tieto and Haninge municipality have collaborated since 2011 to provide the municipality with access to flexible cloud-based services and the opportunity for improved service.

"Haninge has a very clear strategy for using IT services in a way that eases the everyday life for its residents. Together we can simplify the work of the municipality's employees and deliver digital services for a smarter society. This agreement confirms that we are on the right path, says Mats Brandt, Head of Public Sector, Tieto Sweden.
