Ipswich Town FC renews partnership with Advanced Ticketing

Cloud-based commerce solution is just the ticket.

Ipswich Town Football Club (Ipswich Town) has signed a new five-year contract with Advanced Ticketing (Advanced), following a thorough tender process involving multiple technology providers. Renewing its commitment to ecommerce platform, TALENT Sport, the Club chose Advanced as a long-term technology partner, ensuring it remains one step ahead of fans’ requirements by delivering the best online experience.

The solution provides a fully integrated ecommerce experience, incorporating both ticketing and retail, so that fans of the Club can easily purchase what they want in a single transaction. As a fully responsive web site, fans benefit from an intuitive, personalised journey when interacting with the Club from any device, removing potential barriers to purchase.

TALENT Sport complements the Club’s goal to maximise revenue opportunities with each fan by creating a ‘sticky’ online environment, where it can up sell with relevant offers and promotions that fans will be interested in buying.

Jonathan Symonds, Joint MD at Ipswich Town Football Club, says, “Having a strategic partner that provides us with a flexible technology roadmap that we can influence was a significant factor in retaining our relationship with Advanced. We’re looking forward to working together with the Advanced team to deliver targeted data driven online fan engagement strategies that reward loyalty and attract new fans.

“Having one integrated platform ensures we’re not missing any opportunity on collecting data, avoiding the problem of distributed systems and silos of information.”

Advanced delivers the cloud-based solution from its UK-based hosting facility, which operates a 24-7 private cloud service guaranteeing first-rate levels of uptime and performance.

Symonds comments, “Having a cloud-based ecommerce platform gives us the confidence in having a fully scalable, secure and resilient solution. We know we can simply turn the tap on to meet peaks of demand, which is critical in a play-off environment for example.”

“Ipswich Town FC has always focused on unlocking the value that technology can offer football clubs, realising how it can support both tactical day-to-day requirements as well as longer-term strategic goals. This renewal is an acknowledgement of our commitment to deliver best practice ecommerce solutions to the sports industry and we look forward to strengthening our partnership over the coming years,” comments Mark Dewell, Managing Director of Advanced Ticketing.
