Virtustream announces Capgemini as an Alliance Partner

Global Systems Integrator to provide Virustream xStream cloud management software for secure, compliant enterprise class cloud deployments.

Virtustream has announced Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, as a partner to provide Virtustream’s xStream private and hybrid cloud solution as part of its portfolio of cloud services in North America. With xStream cloud management software, Virtustream’s enterprise clients are able to cost-effectively run mission-critical and production applications in private and hybrid clouds with performance level SLAs, consumption-based pricing and cloud efficiency. This will allow Capgemini’s customers to take full advantage of the business and economic benefits that Virtustream cloud services can bring to their business, with the added reassurance of increased compliance and security capabilities.

“Capgemini continues to put immense focus on its cloud initiative across North America and globally in 2013,” said Kevin Reid, chief executive officer and CTO at Virtustream. “We are excited to work closely with the company to provide an integrated cloud solution that enables Capgemini to deliver Virtustream’s enterprise class cloud services to its clients.”

Through this partnership with Virtustream, Capgemini will now be able to offer its clients Virtustream’s on-premise private cloud or hybrid connected hosted solution option that is enterprise-ready, to deliver secure cloud environments that allow SLA levels for business-critical and production applications. By leveraging Virtustream’s xStream cloud management software, driven by Virtustream µVMTM (micro-VM) technology, customers can gain agility, scalability and a consumption-based pricing model that allows users to only pay for the resources consumed. Added to its robust portfolio of cloud service, brokerage, and orchestration options, xStream technology extends the specific cloud needs and preferences of clients that Capgemini can address.
