Ospero joins the EMC Velocity Service Provider Program

Powered by EMC VMAX Cloud Edition, the Ospero Storage-as-a-Service (StaaS) solution extends to the global enterprise customers offering high-end storage on ‘Pay as you use - When you use it’ model.

Ospero, Ltd. has announced the launch of its Storage-as-a-Service offering powered by the EMC® VMAX® Cloud Edition, a self-service, enterprise-class, as-a-service, cloud delivery platform.

Ospero joined the prestigious group of EMC Velocity Service Providers early this year. The EMC Velocity™ Service Provider program enables a selected group of service providers to successfully deliver cloud services to customers. Together, EMC and Velocity Service Providers offer a consolidated, customer-focused approach to designing, architecting and running an environment that coordinates Private Cloud with compatible off-premises workload services to form a Hybrid Cloud strategy.

The Ospero Storage-as-a-Service (StaaS) offering delivers a fundamental change to enterprise customers in terms of cost, performance, reliability, speed and security. The payment model is for what they consume in terms of space and performance, which means a capital expenditure of an appliance is not necessary. By leveraging different solutions - Public, Private or Hybrid Cloud - this service, which is powered by EMC VMAX Cloud Edition, simplifies the storage procurement and management process, allowing lower total cost of ownership while increasing business agility.
Ospero will be leveraging the strengths of our global data center provider, Equinix, Inc. who has one of the largest data center world-wide footprints. With access to over 100 data centers in five continents and service availability in EMEA, NA and APJ, Ospero has the ability to manage any enterprise work load with virtually limitless capacity and performance in any major business hub.

“Joining the EMC Velocity Service Provider program is an honor. At Ospero, we are proud to be a part of this prestigious group of Service providers, and we’re thrilled to deliver services to our customers based on EMC’s powerful VMAX Cloud Edition offering,” said Jason Currill, CEO Ospero. “The Ospero Storage as a Service, based on VMAX Cloud Edition, provides an EMC-powered service that enables our global enterprise customers a wide range of performance choices and capacity, which enables us to scale our business quicker than ever. The resulting elasticity allows users to expand and contract at will. This is achieved by using the performance catalogue, self-provisioning, data encryption, Pay as you Consume model and the overall exceptional performance – all managed by our own vPlatform.”

"We believe that Ospero’s approach to storage-as-a-service will provide our mutual customers with the ability to migrate and deploy Private and Hybrid workloads to the cloud while addressing the concerns many enterprise customers have when considering pure-play public cloud platforms" said Mauro Bonfanti, EMEA Service Provider Group Director. "We are delighted to welcome Ospero to the Velocity Service Provider Program as a partner leveraging VMAX Cloud Edition.”
