Wireless network the weakest security link in enterprise IT infrastructure

Information Technology decision makers (ITDMs) believe wireless networks to be the most vulnerable element of the IT infrastructure, according to a survey from Fortinet. Nearly half (49%) of respondents ranked wireless networks as most exposed from a security standpoint, in contrast to just 29% for the core network.

Data published in Dimension Data’s annual Network Barometer Report* reveals that remote monitoring and automated management reduce the time to troubleshoot faulty networking devices by a massive 75 percent. Consequently, it takes 32 percent less time to repair such devices than those not managed in this way.
